About Saken Sports Camp
Everyone has a great time at Saken Sports Camp!

Since it began in 1990, Saken Sports Camp (SSC) has grown into the Los Angeles area's premier sports camp provider. Offering athletic camps and clinics, as well as summer adventure trips to Hawaii, SSC is a company that parents trust, and children love.
Sports camps and clinics are held year-round at the Curtis School, with an ongoing Counselor-In-Training program for boys and girls 14 to 17.
Private sports parties for birthdays, graduations or other special occasions are available as well. Please contact us if you'd like to schedule one -- they're a great way to celebrate!
Mission Statement
Saken Sports Camp is built on the philosophy that all children should have a phenomenal camp experience regardless of their gender, age or athletic ability.
Saken Sports Camp focuses on building character and emphasizes playing with pride, playing with honor and playing for fun. Our goal is to ensure that each camper has an unforgettable experience participating in various sports, games and activities in a safe environment. When a camper leaves SSC, he or she will possess an enhanced value of sportsmanship, character and self-confidence.
Saken Sports Camp
Saken Sports Camp was founded 15 years ago by Coach Rio Saken. Since it began, SSC has been one of LA's premier sports camps, catering to campers' ages 3-13, where sports, games, and exciting activities fulfill each day. SSC is a family oriented sports camp where each camper is made to feel like coming to camp is her/his second home. SSC is one of the most comprehensive and inclusive sports programs in the city where core values such as honesty, respect, teamwork, self-esteem, confidence and excellent sportsmanship are promoted daily. You do not have to be a "great athlete" to love Saken Sports Camp.

SSC Premiere Sports Clinics
During these weeks SSC offers campers Sports Specific Clinics to practice skills, build fundamentals, and improve confidence in a variety of sports. High-level Coaches will lead each clinic along with Coach Saken.
Coach Rio Saken
As the director of SSC, Coach Rio Saken believes in a "hands on approach," and is involved in all aspects of the program, greeting and working with children daily to insure their positive experience. His commitment to your child's happiness is unparalleled in the coaching and camp communities.
A Los Angeles native, Coach Saken has been teaching and coaching at the elementary and middle school levels for over 17 years. He is currently coaching at the Curtis School in Los Angeles, where he has been for the past nine years. Coach Saken has led his teams -- football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, track, swimming and soccer -- to over 20 championship titles in the San Fernando Valley Private School League.
Staff
The staff at SSC are respected, well-trained and experienced teachers, coaches, athletes and college students in the community who have a passion for teaching children.
Saken Sports Camp, inc. is an independent program, and is not sanctioned, conducted, supervised or reviewed by the Curtis School. We are an independent program and must be considered individually based on our merits.
